The hydrolysis of [Ru([small eta]6-p-cym)(H2O)3]2+ in the presence of chloride ion was studied using combined pH-potentiometric, UV-VIS, NMR and ESI-MS techniques to estimate stoichiometry and thermodynamic stability constants of the complexes in aqueous solution.
