The two major isomers of the CO releasing molecule, [Fe(L-cysteinate)₂(CO)₂]^2¬, have been identified. Only one isomer is isolated for [Fe(SCH₂CH{CO₂H}NHCH₂)₂(CO)₂], where the two cysteines are linked.
