A new redox-active bis(ferrocenyl-amidine) H2PO4- anion sensor has been prepared via Pt(II)-mediated nucleophilic addition of [small beta]-aminoethylferrocene to a benzonitrile ligand.

Their methodology uses FcCH2+ chemistry, like ours. In future work, one can expect to see thiourea-based modules attached to Fc.
